Another weekend without you

It's Friday again.
The weather is getting nicer and the thought of "escape" is looming again.
Usually I will just go to Manhattan, do some window shopping then give you a call.
"So when are you going to finish today?"
"umm.. around 7 pm" you'd say.
So I would plan a mini trip around Manhattan.
A sample sale on 39th Street or a stop by at Unioin Square.
I would wind up in Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle where now becomes one of my favorite spots in the city.
Because I know I am close to you now. Soon I will see you.
I might get moody sometimes if you show up late
Or you might feel tired and not happy with some customers.
Happy or not, seeing you is the "real" thing happen in my daily life.
Now it's all emptiness on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or any given day of the week.
I know I will have to get through this and so do you.
Soon you will be back in the city and I probably will have a new route to circle around the city before meeting you.
